I'm an Australian freelance author who built a career in professional accounting until I took an extra early retirement to pursue what brings me joy.
I practised as a Chartered Accountant in a professional services firm for 30 years. During my career, I lectured at the Queensland University of Technology and presented regular professional courses at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I hold a bachelor’s degree from the University of Queensland, a master’s degree from the Queensland University of Technology, and a master’s degree from the University of New South Wales.
But I like to think I'm much more than an accountant and professional advisor. I'm a student of life, constantly learning new things, refining my thoughts and beliefs, and trying to be a better human every day.
I think our 'job' as human beings is to live our lives, experience their ups and downs, and share what we've experienced - the good, the bad, and the ugly. Hopefully, that would help others progress through life quicker and with less friction, which in turn make the world a better place for all.
